My mom received a call from Catalina Morales, stating she was from Cobransas Collection agency, contracted by Hot Shapers. She notified her she owed them $3000 but she could help her only pay $650 if she sent them a money order by 10/22/2017. She said the reason she was sent to collections was because she refused to receive secondary products from the company. When asked for a bill or a letter stating this information, she said there was no time as it had to be paid before the 23rd to avoid being sent to court in FL, also told asked my mom how she expected to get a bill or letter if she doesn't speak English, my mom explained that wasn't her business and she wouldn't pay anything without a physical bill/letter. She asked for her address and additional information, but my mom refused to give it to her as she sounded more and more upset when she told her she wasn't paying. She did also mention they only accept money orders no other forms. When she continued to refused to pay, she wouldn't give me a direct number to Hot Shapers nor an address to follow up on, she said she would be sending her to court and hung up on my mom.
