My husband found a website while looking for a used car part. We had contact with a gentleman named James about the said car part needed. We were assured that they indeed had the part and to have it sent to us in PA from CA it would be $200 for part & shipping that we paid to him through Cash App. After pymt was made an email was generated from the Shipping Company stating our order was On Hold due to a $60 Shiping Fee once that was paid the part would be sent. Had spoke to James about the additional fee that he said he was mistaken the part was $180 and the $20 was for handling for a total of $200 but in order to ship the part to us they needed additional payment that was also paid through Cash App. The Shipping company emailed another message stating that in order to now ship the part we were required to pay a 100% Refundable Insurance Fee of $155 that would be refunded in cash from the delivery agent at the time of delivery. We called James back again and he assured us that the $155 would definitely be refuned at the time of delivery and guaranteed that if the part did not fit or was incorrect that it was also 100% Refundable. Unfortunately beyond my better judgment we sent the additional $155 through Cash App. After pymt was confirmed we were told a code would be emailed to us for the Refundable Insurance Fee of $155 and that the package was now out of the On Hold Status to ENROUTE and was to be delivered Today 04-15-2025 expected at 15:00pm. While waiting for our package the Shipping Company sent another message stating the order was again On Hold due to a Postage Fee of $195 that was also Refundable at the timeof delivery. We then called multiple times to James that he didnt answer. He then called us back to ask if we had the postage stamps and could i send him a picture so that our package would be delivered. We told him we wanted a FULL REFUND for this part. He said they couldn't give a refund until we receive the part. And if we send the picture of postage stamps they would proceed. Then told us thank you have a good day and hung up. We did NOT send anymore money and would like to know how we could get our money back and report them. We DO have documentation of this purchase and conversation.
