Buyer Beware. My wife and I are in the market to purchase a new vehicle. We have a deal in place with Myrtle Beach Kia. I put in information to True Car and a representative from Coastal Kia reached out to me. After 10 hours of negotiations, they asked me to either give them 5000 dollars to hold the vehicle or start financing paperwork on a car they have not received to their lot. Uncomfortable with this and taken aback that this is their “policy” I refused. I informed the dealer, I don’t feel comfortable initiating the financing of the vehicle, due to them not having it in their possession and I definitely am not giving them a cash deposit that is equal to 11.5% of the vehicles out the door pricing (including my trade). Beware of initiating a purchase agreement with this dealer, this may be your end results after spending 10 hours of your time.
