Coast Truck Brokers Inc. Reports & Reviews (7)

I got an email from a James Allen asking me about doing a Whole Foods survey so I said yes. Then I get a check in the mail for 1950 telling me to cash it and buy gift cards and then return the scratched off number from the gift cards. The routing number is good but the signature is from someone that’s a product owner at that bank and they don’t sign checks. So nope I’m not going to dare fall for this. I will not put this in my account but will be sending this to the authorities. Don’t trust it and be aware. It’s sad folks trying to scam others into doing illegal things.
Whole Foods Survey Scam

Same thing happened to me. Text about taking a survey for Whole Foods. Filled out the form. Email about getting a package I could track. Urgency in opening the package and following the instructions. Got a $1950 check. Got suspicious. It was from Ally (who I bank with) but had information for Bank of America within the check as well. Big Red Flag (BRF). I bank with Ally. It is mostly on-line. So I was double suspicious. Also, who sends you that type of money via check and they do not know you. All this didn't add up. It says keep $400 and by some Amex Cards with the rest and don't tell anyone that I am buying them. Gives the same complete expeditiously and bonus if you do so. I was like something is not right. So I use Mr. Google and come up an Federal Trade Commission site that states "IT'S A SCAM". Lol! Knew it. If it is too good to be true, it probably is. Don't fall for it.

I received a letter and a cashiers check for 1950 the letter had instructions on purchasing visa gift card and keeping $450 of the 1950 I am to purchase gift cards for $1500 if I do it in 24 hours I get an extra $350 I am to buy the gift card and scratch off the silver coating on the back and send them pictures of both the front and the back of this gift card they say hang onto the gift card for further instructions for other jobs. This package came from coast truck brokers Inc. on 40th Ave. in San Francisco but that is just what was on the the Address field on the 2 day priority envelope.
I got the same letter with $1950

Was asked to compete the required purchases listed on the document. Was sent what appeared to be a cashiers check and told to take out my $400 for doing the survey. Then was asked to buy 2-3 Amex cards and submit pictures of the front and back of cards. Bonus $ for doing it quickly.

They claim they are with the Whole Foods Market. They texted me out of the blue and asked if I was interested in possibly doing a secret shopper experience. When I responded yes and filled out a form, they sent me a package with a letter and check for $2,950.52. They wanted me to buy $2,500 worth of Nike giftcards from a couple of stores. They said I could keep the rest on the check which was $450.

A couple things stood out to me that told me it must've been a scam. The address and company on the check didn't match the letter.

The check says Geico Direct, Government Employees Insurance Co, One Geico Plaza Washington DC 20070

The Priority Mail package has Coastruck Brokers Inc, 837 40th Ave San Francesco CA 94116

I got an email from a Roseline William [email protected]

yet the "survey" to fill out about secret shopping experience is supposed to be sent to [email protected]

They asked me to text 203-658-7239 to process bonus

There was a lot of urgency in wanting me to do a quick turn-around within 24 - 48 hours to earn $ bonus. When they texted me they said I could keep $400 (which didn't match their letter of $450). And I noticed grammatical errors as well as the email being from a gmail account.

I will be cutting up the check and reporting their scam to hopefully warn others in time.
