I received a phone call from an official sounding male voice, like police officer. He read a script about the PAC or organization and how they help and support the police. He quickly asked if I could make a donation, I said sure. He transferred me to a female, who asked me for my cc info. I said, I cannot give it. I am driving. Which I was. I asked her to mail me the information and I could make a donation like that. but not now. I asked about the two PAC candidates the initial caller (police sounding voice) mentioned supported the police, and where they were from because the names did not sound familiar, the female trying to get my cc info, quickly hung up on me. The female trying to get my cc info also asked where I worked and asked me if I could donate $200 today. I said, no. $50. She said okay. What is your cc number. Red flags flew the entire time for me. Today, I received their mail-in donation form. My name is misspelled. My phone number and address are correct. Oh and my $50 donation is correct. I looked up their organization online. They do not exist in Wisconsin. They do exist in Texas, but totally different information. Yes, so my instincts are correct. They are scammers. Don't fall for them. Report them.
