9/30/22 verbal alert came on my computer telling me my computer had been compromised and to call Cloud IP Security at 888-632-9986 and they would be able to help me. I turned the computer for about five minutes and turned it back on. The security alert came back so I called the number. I spoke with a representative named James who told me that Cloud IP Security could fix the problem and install their security software. He told me that it would cost $499.00 and that the contract would be good for a year. I used my debit/credit card to pay the merchant: Cleartechmarket that amount, which posted on my account on 10/4/22. I contacted my financial on 11/1/22 and cancelled the card. No other funds were taken from the account.
