Client Recovery Services Reports & Reviews (1)

Called my mother in MI stating that they were going to pursue legal action against me but never read her a mini Miranda. They stated my case manager was a woman named Taylor Richardson. I called and spoke with a Mr Clark, no first name given, who sounded like he was in his 30s to 50s. He did not read me a mini Miranda and did not disclose if we were speaking on a recorded line. He told me his company filed legal actions in order to collect debts and that the phone call to my mother was notice of that action. He said the debt was for a payday loan from 2009 with New York and Company. When I pressed him and said I had never taken out a payday loan in my life, he told me to check my credit for fraud. He told me to contact the company (he was unsure of the business nature of New York and Company). He was very casual, after repeatedly telling him I did not owe this debt, he said, "I don't know, man." He told me he would hold my account from going to court through the end of the day. He never offered to transfer me to my case manager, did not know who spoke to my mother. I have never received any phone calls or written notices from this company.
