Clear Satellite Reports & Reviews (1)

July 29, 2016 at approx. 6:30pm CST: A representative of "Clear Satellite" company walked up to my house while I was outside (no vehicle visible in close proximity of the area) and began asking questions about my current cable and internet status, which I answered. Then he continued on by informing me of how the company works and how I could get upgrades to my services that would be more cost effective to me. Then he asked for my pin number to my cable TV account (which I did not give him). He then called a phone representative from his same company who could verify my service with my current provider. Once all that was determined, this same phone rep contacted my phone minutes later and spoke to me regarding the contract agreement (with the other rep still standing by me). I told her that I did not agree to anything yet. The sales rep then jumped in with his explanations of what would actually take place and that nothing would be set up as far as billing and agreeing to the contract until a technician came out to install the equipment (which he told me would be set up the next day). I told him that I would need to discuss it with my husband before agreeing to the contract and have anything installed because we were going to be unsure of our living arrangements after a couple weeks. He said that wouldn't be a problem and to tell the technician when he comes by to install the equipment that we don't want the upgraded services. He left me with the unsigned contract and his personal phone number. About 10 minutes after he left, he returned, letting me know that the approval for installation services didn't go through and that he would need my credit/debit card number. I chuckled and told him there was no way I was giving him that information and that a representative from my current cable provider would have to get in contact with their service provider to receive a credit card number. He said that was fine and he would keep trying to get the approval to go through with a company card number and if there were still issues he would send me an email or text. An hour later, I receive a text from him saying everything was ready to go tomorrow from 1-5pm (I'm assuming about the equipment installation tech coming by). So this is what has developed so far. I will wait and see what happens tomorrow. I have not been scammed in this situation as of now, but I feel like it might be a scam in progress in regards to having an account set up without my written consent and then somehow be billed for service fees and/or cancellation fees from this company or my current providers.
