Received a call from a private number claiming to be a process server telling me that I would be served between 3-5 and told me that if I called the 800 number they provided me with it would all be worked out. I called the 800 number and gave them my address and my card number so I could make payments on an over due debt. I have paid 156.10 to this company and would like my money back.

Received a call (unknown for caller ID )from a Jason Adams, a independent processor, to contact 877 906 5299 and give case number “case number” in result of a debt... I call said number which then a Victor Gomez(?) answers and then explains that either I pay said debt or go to court...

I was dumb enough to fall for there scam. and had to close my account to prevent any fraudulent action on my account this is what they sent me in my email.

Federal law requires us to notify you that this is a communication from a debt recovery corporation. This is an attempt to collect a debt. Any information obtained will be used for that purpose.

After searching them on the internet and having a lawyer investigate them I found out they as a scam and it is fraud.

Vm from unknown number stating they were with Clackamas County Processing and would be arriving the following day between 3-5pm to serve legal papers and a supervisor must be present. They left a number to call to avoid being served. Once we called the number it was a Houston land line to Clarion Recovery Service. They demanded immediate payment for debt owed from nearly 10 years ago, however the case was reopened in 2015. They threatened the amount would increase from $1600 to $5000 if not immediately resolved. We asked for proof of debt and he told us they were not obligated to provide any additional info. I let them know we would be calling the original company the debt was with (US Bank) to verify the debt and confirm this company was contracted to collect. They told us we couldn’t and that would breech the contract. We tried looking up the website which doesn’t exist and if you google the Houston number all you find are scam posts. They were very threatening and demanding. Scare tactics were used to try to gain credit card info for immediate payment.
