The scammer found me through indeed and contacted me via text to see if I was interested in a job. I went through a briefing all through Skype and everything seemed legitimate for days on end. Then, they said they would send me checks to deposit so I could send money to various vendors to receive working equipment to allow me to work from home. I deposited such checks and sent the money via apple pay and zelle. Days later the checks bounced and they were found to be fraudulent. I immediately contacted my bank and disputed all charges, but due to them being through zelle and apple pay I'm not sure if I'll ever see that money again. I contacted the police and reported them to the federal trade commission as well. I do not want anyone to go through what I did so I hope this will help others.
