I experienced the same thing with Kevin... I felt it was weird that the interview on Glip was a chat, not a face to face video. I got an offer and was excited... but it felt too good to be true. After that, I was interested in seeing who I was dealing with and couldn't find his LinkedIn. I ended up searching his email on Google and this page came up. I am upset he has my phone number and my address due to my resume, but it ended there. People are horrible.

I was referred by Louis Tomberlin to a telegram.org interview with Theresa McPherson. . She then proceded to ask personal information. I would not give it yet until she game me her background info. and info on her and her company. she wanted me to ask all interview ?s within 5 minutes. It did not FEEL RIGHT. I do not see her name anywhere in Human resources on the company website. No one can confirm WHO they are with the company. I think this is a SCAM. There is a SCAM warning on their website as well to be cautious. I would not give out my address or Direct Deposit.

This was the original email sent. Note: The working hours for this job and position is flexible and you can also choose your hours, because we have morning shift, afternoon shift and evening shift. You will be required to set up your own time schedule.

Unfortunately I am one of the unemployed due to Coronavirus. I have my resume on Lindekin. I was contacted first by a Suzy Rios who claimed to be a Recruiter with Varian Medical Systems who had me answer questions and submit a cover letter and resume. She then referred me to Kevin Cummings who was supposed to be a Senior Recruiter with Varian Medical Systems. I dealt with him for one month on Glip. I received a offer of employment. It then came down to having a check sent to me in the amount of $3030.78. I became suspicious and brought the check to my bank as well as call the bank on the check. It indeed was fraudulent. The name of the company on the check was hacked. It was suspicious because the name of the company was different than the one I was supposed to be hired for. The company on the check was in Indiana as well as the bank but the person who sent it named Gregory Scott was in Texas. I contacted Varian Medical Systems and they do have a Recruiter by that name but advised if he used @variancareers.com it was fake which of course it was. I called him out on it on Glip but of course he is not responding. I have also filed a complaint with the FTC.
