I was contacted via a jobsearch app. They told me that i had been hired making 500.00 a week for putting the advertisement on my car. I recieved a priority envelope from Hall Tank Company at the address 2001 E. 5th Street; North Little Rock, AR 72114-5151. Inside the envelope was a check for $1,850.78 Bank info. on check was United Missouri Bank in Warsaw, MO. The name on the check was David C. Evans, Jr. and Sara W. Evans address listed was 139 Juniper Road in Belmont, MA 02478. I read the enclosed letter which held instructions to take it to my bank and deposit it. I was to keep $500.00 as my 1st weeks pay the rest was to be cash app'd to Car Decal Graphic upon receiving this package i was to notify by sms messaging this number 530-298-0974. They wanted me to send them a picture of the deposit slip into my account. IThe letter was signed by Mr. Harry Lewis Payment Secure Manager. contacted them through the text message number that i was uncomfortable cashing such a large check and asked if the could send my 1st weeks payment in one check and the decal payment in a seperate check. I was immediately reassured that this was a legit job and that i needed to deposit as soon as possible. i told them i would this evening and was told that was ok. Instead i looked it up to see if was a scam. Sure enough i found it so i am notifying you of this one. I hope the information will lead to others not getting ripped off. I really need the job but dont need to be scammed. I hope by reporting this that the persons responsible for this scam are caught an prosecuted before they have the opportunity to try to financially hurt anyone else.
