This has come to be the absolute worst let down with finding out I really don’t have the job, and turning out that I have been scammed, especially when I have been desperately looking for one in means of supporting my daughter and I beyond measures! My hopes was so high until they asked me for money & that’s when I became alarmed in it possibly being a SCAM!

I received a message via Facebook from Theresa Anne Butler and her account appeared to be legitimate. She seems like a real human being, but after watching The Tinder Swindler, I can't trust anyone online anymore. Theresa provided me with a link to a web icq chat platform to contact the HR Representative // Hiring Manager, Beth Burk.

Here is the HR CONTACT : https://icq.im/BETH_BURK
Icq.im for your interview

I was provided a code and the interview consisted of 17 questions. I was wary as they did not ask for any references nor did they check for a resume or LinkedIn account.

They provided this website for Green Thumb Inc., found here: https://www.gtigrows.com/people/join-our-team

The site seems legitimate, but red flags went up immediately when it seemed too good to be true. They asked me to pay $500 in Apple Gift Card and send it to them. I asked for their email and they provided some gmail account ([email protected]) which was NOT a company email account as stated in a SCAM ALERT document found here on the Green Thumb Inc website: https://www.gtigrows.com/wp-content/uploads/GTI-Job-Scam-Alert-FINAL.pdf

As a working professional of over a decade, when you're being hired for a job, no company will ever ask you to pay up front a cost for something. In fact, they shouldn't ask for anything.

Green Thumb Industries will never:
1. Send unsolicited job offers or employment contracts of any kind.
2. Require any fees, payments or gift cards or ask to access your financial or bank accounts.
3. Will never ask for Social Security Numbers or forms of identification through email, text messaging, video calls, etc.

If you believe you are a victim of a job scam impersonating Green Thumb (GTI) or any of its employees, please do the following:

1. Send an email to [email protected] to inform us of the job scam. Please include evidence in your email, such as screenshots of the fake job posting and any correspondence with the scammers.

2. File a report online with the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center at https://www.ic3.gov/.

Lady claiming to be Beth Burk and Chris Rice working together offering to send you money via direct deposit through coin base etc. saying it’s a work from home job really professional and believable. Be careful!

This has happened to me today, 9/23/21, with someone posting to Facebook about this opportunity. I reached out and they sent me a code with a link. I had to download "Whatsapp", to talk to the lady named "Beth Burk". As going along asked 17 short typical questions all employers do. Continuing forth, she asked for my information, like address and full name. Then asked me to send pictures of my ID and credit card (front and back to both). Claiming they would pay off any debt on my credit card, so that way I would be able to go and pick up a prepaid card to send the info of the card (prepaid) back to them to allow them to install programs on the equipment (Apple MacBook Pro, Iphone, computer, laptop, and a printer) before sending out the equipment to my home address. When I asked if I could speak to someone on the phone about this, instead of saying "yes" and sending a number, sent a link to the company of 'Green Thumb Industries'. Also, a picture of her ID with a completely different logo than what the link to the website showed. I became very skeptical and stopped answering or would reply back with questions about the company/employment process/etc. I finally asked if there was a way to talk to someone on the phone from the company. Replied with yes, and no number. I asked for the number, and I was left on delivered. BE CAREFUL!

Someone on Facebook is trying to recruit people to work here. They don't explain anything to you, just how much you'll make and that it's a remote job. Then I was sent a link to a website that looked very well established/ clean, but why would such a company be using an old guy on Facebook to recruit? His grammar is way off and it's fishy. He says it's not a cannabis related job, but the website literally says cannabis on it. I'll be contacting the actual company to let them know what's going on

Got a job offer, was directed to Google hangouts, and was going through the process, part of the "job" was to give access to my personal social media accounts so they could post ads for work on my behalf.

Started with an interview with hr via text then got job offer outdated with no logo asked for prepaid gift card of 200$ for equipment with promise of getting it back plus first week salary and $ for vendor and a desk. Asked to fill w-2 not w-4 sent via email w-4. Says website is down because it’s too close a name to GTI grows. No information on this company anywhere even checked fed database for company.
