I applied for an Accounting Clerk position on Internship.com that was apparently for Verizon Wireless Inc. Within 20 minutes I was contacted via text by a person that claimed to be Alan, Verizon Wireless Inc. Human Resource Manager. He instructed me to contact Michelle Brookshire on Google Hangouts for the interview process. By 12pm, she stated that I had the job. The only information she asked for was name and address to mail me a company laptop, hiring paperwork, and a check for the remaining equipment needed for the job. May 13, 2016, the package came in. All that it contained was a 1/2 slip of paper with instructions and a check for almost $3000. One of the instructions was to email a copy of my deposit slip and the deposit receipt to [email protected] The check was made out from a Harley-Davidson dealership in Texas. I did not try to cash the check. The package came from Taylor Kent, Payroll Department, 10258 Andover Drive, Twinsburg, OH 44087. The phone calls are tracing to an unlisted number in Georgia. The Verizon Wireless, Inc. office I thought I was applying for is located in North Charleroi, PA.
