I lost close to $90,000 in Bitcoin from a scammer I had met online. I originally filed a police report, but learned very quickly there's not much they could or would do. Out of desperation, I started searching online for other options I might have and came across this Claim-Justice website that advertised their crypto-recovery services. After speaking with them over Zoom for almost 2 hours, I decided to pay them $7,600 upfront to recover my stolen Bitcoin. They claimed the money was to be used to pay the "team" that would be working on my case. They claimed that after they started recovering my money, I would receive bits and pieces of it over the next 3-6 months. To make a long story short, I kept getting the run around, and every time I inquired about the status of my case, my "case manager" was abruptly changed. In 3 months, my case manager was changed 4 times, and after that 4th time, I really started to question the legitimacy of this company. I decided to open up a dispute with my credit card agency, Discover, and now this company is harassing me all day long via email, text messaging, and phone. The phone calls are coming from different phone numbers all throughout the U.S., even though this supposed company is headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel. They keep threatening to sue me if I don't drop the dispute with Discover, but that's not how the process works. Once a dispute is made, Discover does a charge back, and then the merchant has 30 days to respond to the dispute by providing valid documentation that the transaction is legitimate. They keep saying that if I don't cancel the dispute then they will be forced to sue me, and when they win, they won't be providing me the service because they would be incurring a lot of legal fees, which is a total lie. This doesn't make any sense because the reason I brought the dispute was because they weren't providing me with a service. All they have to do is provide valid documentation within 30 days and it's already been 20 days and they've yet to respond to Discover, even though they said they responded. I believe this company is a total fraud, and to be honest, think all these supposed crypto-recovery companies are run by scammers. (MONEY PAY LTD TEL AVIV ISR is on the credit card transaction, but the name of the company was CLAIM-JUSTICE)
