On Dec 8 2021 my lap top locked up. An alert appeared on screen to call apple. I called the number. They said it would $299.99 to fix it. aA one time clean up. Sent me a receipt services : one time clean up. Amount: $299.99. Co. name soft guard. merchant name nova web apps. Now in June 2022 Patric Harris calls, says he will bill my credit card for $6800.00 unless I cancel service. the only to cancel is to send check for $3288.00. Wants check made out to Cisco services llc. Had to shut my credit card and my checking account.

Approximately 3 years ago, I received an "alert" notice notice from Apple that my laptop was infected and to call the tech support to fix it. I was told it was going to be $299.00 to fix it and will be fixed and protected. After three years I was getting multiple calls starting around February, that my service with them was coming to an ending I needed to pay $6,800.00 for their service for 3 years and if I didn't want to continue their service I can cancel. Of course I didn't want their service, so chose to cancel and they ended putting me through 3 different people until I spoke to a gentleman and filled out the cancellation form. He was very persistent about how do I want to make the payment. I told him I don't to pay anything, I don't have that kind of money. He kept subtracting money to the get the payment lower. He was getting very persistent, and I kept telling him I didn't have that kind of money.He said I could pay less and make a 1st, payment by check and 2nd payment in 30 days. I was flustered and wrote the check out and he wanted to see it (stupid me), then he took a picture of it.He wanted me to sent it priority and once agin, I told him I don't have the money. I sent it regular mail to an address in San Francisco and he told me to call him as soon as I put it in the mail. That night , I called the bank and cancelled the check and my ATM card, which they used when I initially got there "help" 3 years ago. I am going to the bank to close my checking account and open a new account tomorrow.They people were calling me from all different numbers showing individual names.
