I was texted about a job I did not apply for. But because I am actively looking for work, I assumed I was contacted because of the many job boards I am on. The person texted me and stated that they work for Cintas. Then asked me to attend an interview in WhatsApp. I agreed and the interview process went on for 3 hours, dragging on. Their grammar and punctuation had many errors, like spaces between question marks. The pay for the job was appealing and the tasks match what I have done in the past. I was offered the job and then asked about my bank information. How would I like to be paid? Would I like to be paid weekly? Direct deposit? Wire-transfer? The red flags were really adding up. Then after the job offer, I was sent a form to fill out. I took a screenshot that it did not exist. Then they sent another form which photos of my driver's license. A back photo and front photo. And also wanted photos of my Social Security card's front and back. The person was really pushing for me to send this information. All of their false professionalism flew out of the window when they started pressuring me for my very personal information. I slowed down and said that I would look for it. And I looked up the website on whois.com. It was NOT VALID! Then I looked up scam job offers. And the top 10 job scam warning signs. And EVERYTHING was textbook scamming. I did not send them anything of substance. Please be careful out there. Follow your instincts.
