I was contacted via Upwork and told I qualified for a fully remote position as a Project Manager. I completed an online "interview" which consisted of 10 questions in a Word document, and was then told I got the job. I received an "offer letter" today which looks too good to be true (it also has a couple of syntax errors). The letter indicates that the company will cover all costs and states that "Employer will provide funds via Check to Employee for the equipment." I will sign the letter and see what happens next; from what I've read, they will either send a check that will eventually bounce or just promise that one will come and ask me to purchase my own equipment with the promise of compensation. One other note that flagged my attention to this being a scam: the email address is "christiesus.com" which sounds legit but is not. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY.
