Contacted him via Facebook site posing as a "pet groomer" placing Maine [censored] kittens and Bengal kittens. Contact was through email. Over 40 emails were exchanged. Full contract was sent and signed. Person had somewhat of broken English, although very convincing, paid deposit through Zelle to a 3rd party Brianna Sutton at [email protected]. Next morning we drove 3 hours to pick up the kitten. All the while he was emailing me about arrival time and other details. Arrived at the address given on the contract to find there was no house at that address. At this time he was still emailing me about pick up time. I Emailed him asking him to call me. He reponded that he would call right back. I tried calling the phone number listed on the FB page, which went to voice mail. I called the number on his WhatsUp link which answered,m but no one would talk. I emailed demanding my deposit back, and never recieved another reponse. I did contact M &T Bank to report fraud and they were able to "refund" me the $300.
