The scammer reached out through the social media outlet Facebook from a personal friends account claiming to be them and having information about an investment. They gained my trust by alleging that I know where they live and work and that they will pay me back. I was being contacted by a fraudulent company imposter claiming to be a branch of fidelity. I gave my telephone number and was contacted by the fraudulent agency claiming to be an agent. They supplied me with fictitious identification. They asked for money to be deposited to CashApp to complete the transaction. I received multiple emails and I fell for it, losing $400. I never got my money back.
