On January 09, 2018, a man drove up to my house, in a late model white work truck, identified himself as Pete Carroll, and said he did asphalt chip-sealing. He stated that he noticed there were lots of bad cracks in my driveway and his crew could fix them with a heavy layer of chip-seal. He then quoted me a price, which I thought was reasonable for the length and width of my driveway. I agreed to having the work done, and shortly his crew arrived in a truck with a boom sprayer attached to the back of the truck. They sprayed the chip-seal, and stated that the driveway would need a second coat because some of the cracks were really deep. They said they would be back "Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise" on the next sunny day to finish up the second coat at "No Additional Charge." When I wrote a check to pay for the work, he requested that I make the check out to his brother, John Carroll. I have not heard from them since the day the work was completed. I have tried contacting them at the phone number listed on the business card, but all I get is a message saying "The person you are calling cannot accept calls at this time. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause." I even looked up the address listed on the business card and found that there is no such address listed in Manassas, VA. I eventually did a scam search, and found one complaint again Pete Carroll here in NC. So beware!! Pete and/or John Carroll are scammers. They may do the job they offer, but you will not be able to contact them or locate them for the promised follow-up work.
