A recent sent out recruitment themed email invite listed on behalf of the Chevron Company has responded to my resume application on indeed.com and I thus sent in my formal employment application. Without any phone call or formal interview of any kind, they have sent me an offer letter for a position in Aberdeen UK with the position description and position details. However, they require me to pay my UK employment VISA fee ahead of time for them to book my flight over to begin work. They claim it will be paid back upon arrival and start date of employment. This seems formal enough but the details get shady and I find it odd not one phone call or interview has taken place for this position, more so with it being a 5 year term position overseas? I want to be sure this is official from Chevron and not a hoax acting as the company to get money from people's payment of a false work VISA. I would like this to be checked into if possible.
