On October 7, 2023, there was a job posting on LinkedIn for a Scrum Master for Integra Connect LLC. I applied through LinkedIn. Then, I received an email from a person named Cheryl Plemons on October 9 that the employer came across my LinkedIn profile and was impressed to proceed with an interview. The email instructed for me to reply "Interested" if I wanted to move forward and a member of their team will contact me within 24 hours. The following day, I received a set of interview questions to complete and due by October 11. I submitted my completed answers by the due date, which then I received a congratulations email on October 12. The email instructed for me to reply with my name, address, phone number and email address so that an employment letter can be drafted. I replied with the requested information. Then, the scammer replied and instructed for me to sign the offer letter and include a copy of my ID, front and back, by October 13. The offer letter advised that an e-check will be provided for me to deposit in my bank account to purchase my work equipment. Then, I received a text message from a person named Ayesha advising to check my email for the e-check and follow the instructions to deposit in my bank account and send a screenshot of the confirmation. Once I complied with the instructions and shared that the transfer was on hold with my bank, all communication ceased from there.
