and my brother can move into. Since he doesnt have any credit
built up yet, we were denied staying at Woodgate apartments, so I
was wondering if anyone would approve me and my brother. Cheryl
Knuckles emailed me telling me how her house was up for rent. She
showed me pictures and the cost of it, 650$ a month. Which
wasnt bad for our budget! As I was so eager to find a place,
she told me all I have to do is send her the 650$ through moneygram
and she will send me the keys and documents of the house. She also
informed me she was having surgery in Shreveport, Louisiana and that
she has great opportunity staying there for 3 years because she was
a health care consultant working with UNICEF and colleagues there.
I, of course, went through with this and we continued to email each
other about questions and info of this apartment. She sent me
application to fill out, as I gave one to my brother as well. (I
dont recall giving out SSN or any bank information) She was
willing to meet me and my brother in person after the payment was
completed. I was very hesitant about this. I was 50/50 about giving
her the money, and not trusting her. But its been taking a long
while for me and brother to find a place, so I went ahead proceeded
with the payment. After the payment was received, she impersonated
as FedEx. Emailing me how my package was being delivered safely and
that they will contact me when its here in Ohio. But I never
was contacted and the package never came. She informed me that the
package never came because this agreement is for November and
Decembers rent. Id need to pay another 650 to receive the keys.
Again, stupid me was so eager and gullible that I gave her half of
that money and said Id give her the other half in December. She
agreed, and she impersonated FedEx once more telling me its on
its way and that they will contact me. But they still never
contacted me or gave me any package. I knew at this time I was
scammed. She never gave me the tracking number she promised to give
me, and when I called her out on it, she stopped replying to me
around November 7th. Me and my brother were absolutely depressed.
Not only do we have to save up again, but we also have to wait more
months to move out and start our lives. I feel so terrible for
getting my brothers hopes up. I tried to forget about it as my
family was feeling really sorry for me and my brother. But Tuesday
November 17th, 2015 she contacted me text wise. (We started texting
after i sent her the application) She informed me that the FedEx
lady screwed up the zip code and the package was sent back to her.
She re-sent it and again acted like FedEx, giving me a fake email
description of the package. But the email told me I had to send the
remaining 350$ to her so the package will be delivered. It was total
bogus. First and foremost, she only contacted me in the morning, and
as did FedEx email. I threatened to call the police on her, and she
pretty much told me to go ahead. Here i am now, just trying to get
my money back so me and my brother can happily move out. I did some
research about her email and the FedEx email. The FedEx email was
produced by [email protected] , which it also states
that [email protected] was the one who did this. I found a
website talking about this particular email telling everyone to be
aware that shes a professional scammer. I want to take her down
once and for all! (I have emails, texts and FedEx emails all saved.
Including the moneygram receipts. )
