I was attempting to buy airline tickets for my family. Not so unusual the site requested full legal names and birthdates of all ticketed parties. After suppling my credit card information and pressing submit the site said it required a second security level that would be sent to my phone via text. The text was a security code to access my online banking. I immediately contacted my bank, cancelled my credit card and started receiving repeated/back-to-back phone calls from a Los Angeles CA phone number that I did not answer.

I used this company to attempt to book a domestic airline flight. My ticket was still "pending" after 24 hours. Then the company called me and asked me to send them a photo of the front of my credit card (which I did not.) They then sent an email saying my credit card was from a foreign account (it is not) and told me I would need to send a birth certificate and ID. I did neither of those things, and instead called the company and told them to cancel the flight I had not even received a confirmation for yet. They still charged me a $50 cancellation for a service they never actually provided (I never received confirmation of any flight.) Furthermore, this company was very obviously trying to scam me into giving them personal information which could be used fraudulently. I cancelled my credit card and will dispute any charges by this company. Please investigate and help stop them from running their scam with a "cover" of selling cheap flights!

Booked a flight with insurance, company then canceled the tickets demanding picture copies of my passport, credit card and banking information. Added additional charges and would not respond when called. Total scam!

CheapFareGuru allows you to book your ticket online and they specify that you can change or cancel your ticket. However, when you try to cancel your ticket they put your call into a waiting line phone extension that never gets answered. For an experiment I tried waiting for 3 days in a row, over 3 hours each day. I also tried calling the line option for booking a new ticket and each time I was transferred back to the dead line, told someone would call me back which never happened, and when I asked for a supervisor, they hung up on me, and then when I called back again, they seemed to recognize my phone number and it went into a perpetual loop so no one answered. I called yet again from a different phone number, this time immediately asking for the agent's name, when doing so, she hung up on me. It is clear that they do not intend to either let you change or cancel your ticket once purchased. I'll be cancelling them through my credit card company instead, but just warning others not to use them! I had even paid for "premium travel assist" upfront incase I needed to make changes or cancel!!
