I had one initial text message. It looked exactly like the Chase Bank website. It asked me to verify my email. When it could not verify, it asked for social security number, date of birth, address, and PIN. An additional page loaded, it asked for my driver's license number and mother's maiden name. I unfortunately gave all of my information in response to the first text. I have now received several of the same fishing text. I am an educated person and now feel like a complete [censored] in addition to feeling violated. I know live with a constant panic that this will change my life. I have school loans I was planning to refinance and a future home to buy. I have always had excellent credit score and now, because I was in a rush to respond to a text that looked like many previous fraud warnings I had received, I live in fear.

Scam had a link to a what appeared to be a real chase website. They reported their was a freeze on the account and additional information was needed. It asked for email verification, but the link appeared to be loading and then had a link for another option since the email was not verified. It then asked for name, address, DOB, SSN, mother’s maiden name, PIN, credit card number, and driver’s license number. The text was then sent a second time.
