Received phone call from an impostor of Chase Bank, they said that an account had been opened in my name with Chase for $12,000.00 in California.  They had my social security number and I verified the last four numbers with them. I have since gotten a ID protection plan. They also said I had alerts with Bank of America and they wanted my exp date of my Bank of America card. They asked me to call them back at 836-319-5464. I called BOA and they said it was a scam.

Was called and answered the phone, proceeded to say hello and they asked if she could hear them and she said “yes” immediately after it was cut off and a chase bank automated message started to play and we hung up realizing the mistake.

They called me using my last name which I haven’t had in over 12 years and said I owed $2400 from back in 2004 and said if I didn’t pay I was going to be arrested. They said my file/ref # was 202172668. I called chase and there is nothing I owe from back then. The scammer told me to use my [censored]en head and said I better pay today.

Yes scam, then transferred to fake Chase Bank account collection, We have no Chase Bank account

This person kept calling my husband. Today he called while we were on the line so my husband merged the calls. The person he spoke to said his name was Steve Robinson. He said he was calling from Chase Bank and was trying to lower the interest rate on the card. My husband explained that he did not want to talk to him and that he had asked him not to call him the day before.

Steve then proceeded to say that last payment sent in was in May. He said my husband had not paid off the balance and that is why he was calling. I asked why he was calling if we were not behind on payments. He did not take kindly to my inserting myself in the conversation, he asked who I was and when I explained I was the wife he said he didn't care because I was not "his wife." I explained we did not want him calling anymore and he told me to "shut up because he did not call to speak with me." I let him know we were not late on the payment so there was no need for him to be calling us. He again told me to "shut up and said he wanted to speak to my husband." My husband told him once again he did not want him calling as he was not interested in his services.

This is when Steve then said he was going to "[censored] his wife" he then said he was going to go our home and "f** us up." He had our address and account balance and last payment information. He hung up when I said we were going to record the phone call and report him.

On July 13, 2018 I applied for $10,000 loan. I spoke to a lender who stated I was approved for a $6000 loan. However, I would have to go Walmart and purchase a Google Debit Card for $50 (that's how much the card was). Then the company was going to put the $6000 in the card. My note would be $140 a month for 4 years. Everytime I was to pay the bill I would have to call in and put it in the debit card. They keep the money on the debit card for their protection. They will keep the money ($6000) on the card.
