Call came in p.m. on 9/21/23 as Unknown Caller , Left a message We were eligible for 50% off of our Spectrum Bill . Number that called was "Closed " Voicemail listened to and another # was left 844-413-0012 ( and open 9am to 5pm Pacific Time ) I called the Number , held then call answered by. a Man ( Moses ) He asked how much We were paying (I admit I told Hime the $ amount ) Man saidcan You Hold , I did (He kept calling me Mam and then asked for our address (I did provide that - He asked if I was Mrs ******* ****** - My late Mother in Law . I said Sir I am a Man . He detailed the offer to obtain the Discount . 1) You must remain with Us for 3 months (Though Discount rate would be for 3 Years without any service changes ) 2) You Must get a Target Prepaid Card and Load it with $390.00 , I asked why . He claimed Target was Their Major Sponsers and detailed places where to obtain Target Prepaid Cards . Then after You do that You Call Our Billing Department at 888-600-6706 (Option One ) and Provide this Promo Code = JXT12145 and pay the $390.00. I asked how long this offer was good for .. He said Until Tomorrow (Today ) . I told "Moses" I will do this tomorrow , But That This offer sounded too Good to be True / I did not pursue any action regarding this call / "Offer " It had scam written all over it . The Call Came in on My Wife's Cell and I called back from Her Cell (My Cell is set up to screen Non Contacts -Leaving Caller option to leave a voicemail (Most do not ) * Actually I do not Know where Call Origins are ? Moses spoke English but ? No its not a $10,000 scaM BUT $390.00 I would think People could fall for it . I Did Not Give Moses our Spectrum account # or Code . I Hope You can Pass this on and Catch them .

I called a phone number I had for Charter Spectrum. I do not have the number. I called the number and gave all of my information. I was a previous customer. He was determined to get my service back. I gave my name, address, phone number and Social Security number. I gave out a fake debit card number. I don't think it was really Spectrum. They were trying to get $403

I wanted to report a scam concerning Charter Spectrum. I received two phone calls claiming to be Charter Spectrum. I hung up on the first call. They called right back. My caller ID showed two different phone numbers 216-676-7344 and 216-250-0697. Callers name was Mark Williams. He said this is Spectrum. People have been complaining about high bills. They are offering Covid 19 Relief. He asked if I was over sixty and what I pay a month. I told him. I would be eligible for a decreased bill. Requested $450 for a three month payment. That was the discount. I would not receive a bill until January 2022. He gave me the number for the billing department or would transfer me. I did not want to be transferred. I hung up and called 855-905-6169. They had a Spectrum recording on. Michael Cooper answered. Billing for Spectrum. I hung up and called. Spectrum. I have been a customer for many years. They told me it is a scam. I knew it was fake right away.
