A friend received an email about a job opportunity because he knew I was looking, so I reached out with my resume to apply for the position of "Heart to Heart International Distribution Assistant" on March 14th and received an email the next day, March 15th, from a Charles McDonald explaining the position and other such information. Seemingly in that emailed I had been offered the position, so I responded asking if that was the case and for a little more information. To which he responded with the clarification and then later that same day with a full job offer and much of the same information repeated, but also asked for a copy of my drivers license to " to expedite the onboarding process". Which, unfortunately, I sent him. After some more research into the companies website, there was a notice that said "NOTICE — Fraudulent job offers have been sent using variations of our name. Heart to Heart International (HHI) does not send unsolicited job offers or contracts. Valid email addresses from an HHI employee will end with hearttoheart.org. HHI never requires fees from job candidates. We have contacted the Federal Trade Commission regarding false job listings and unauthorized job offers." So I immediately stopped emailing/responding. But this Charles McDonald emailed me again on arch 16th and 18th, the same exact email, all the position information and asking for some more personal information like my full name, home address, bank name, and cell phone number.
