I have a profile up on a website called Model Mayhem which in the past served to be my portfolio for modeling gigs and paid work. I am not active in the modeling community anymore but do keep my profile active for projects in case someone locally needs me. I received the correspondence attached under my modeling alias Lily. I was very skeptical and cautious, under the impression the entire time that this was a scam but I wanted to document everything to help others.

The check is from BMO Bank from someone named Austin Benito

I also have the check as well as photos of the packaging and the name of the person who "sent" it. It is not Channel Models, it was under Austin Benito at 20010 SE 260th Pl, Covington, WA 96042-6132

I was sent a cashiers check, no envelope, no paperwork to go with it. As someone who has worked side projects before I know that any amount over $500 has to have a form with it for taxes.
