Ordered sandals, never arrived. Tried contacting multiple times, no response.

An ad was shown in my Facebook page for 80% off Chacos. I am a skeptic and follow the “if it seems too good to be true, it probably is” motto. But the site had the Chacos logo and looked legitimate. I paid $70 for three pairs of shoes. I received an email with a confirmation code and a customer service email. When I attempted to open the site, it is blank. No one has responded to my emails to customer service (of course.) I’m angry at myself for being taken, at Facebook also for allowing fake companies to advertise on their platform, and of course the thieves behind the site. I’m sure others were taken in as well, and I wish there was a way to hold these people accountable!

I was advertised this website through my Facebook profile. Once going to the website, everything looks just like the actual Chacos website. I purchased shoes from them because it showed the website was secure while I was putting my card information in (which was why I went through with it). I received an order confirmation through email a few days later. From then on I heard nothing regarding my order until I finally emailed them and asked for a refund. Then they said they couldn’t give a refund because they just shipped it and I would supposedly receive an email with that information in a couple days. Heard nothing after that until I sent another email asking for the information. They sent me some website with a tracking number but it was in Chinese and I could not do anything with the information they provided.

Saw an add on Facebook for Chaco shoes on a clearance. I checked out the website pretty excitededly, picking out a pair that I liked. They looked legitimate and the website was convincingly close to the real website which I had visited before. Before I decided to order, however, I started to notice that the only shoes I could find on the website were a small amount of discount ones and not the masses of shoes I had seen on the website before. I looked at the website address and noticed that in fact it was chacous.com instead of chacos.com. I searched the real website to be sure, and sure enough it was a fake website. Thankfully I noticed before I decided to order anything.
