A woman called my cellphone yesterday afternoon (April 16, 2020) and she asked me to participate in a survey about the current pandemic and the environmental problems. She had my full name. I proceed to answer about 10 questions. She asked about the importance of the current pandemic and the government's response. The questions were meant to be answered with the options strongly agree, agree, nor agree or disagree, disagree, and strongly disagree. Towards the end, she asked about my race/ethnicity, year of birth (which she already have and I confirmed), highest educational degree, political affiliation, and religious affiliation. After thinking that this might be a scam, I called back to 734-219-3293 and "Michael Fritts" answered. He knew I was calling and told me that the company was named CGM Research Marketing and could not give me the full name of the company. He said the company is located in Tallahassee, Florida but they hired people nationwide. He gave me his "personal email" ([email protected]), and his supervisor email ([email protected]). I google all of this information and found nothing. I am certain this is a scam.
