Man with a british accent called claiming to be from CenturyLink. Said there is a problem with our internet modem. Asked me to go to my computer to fix the problem. The phone number was from my neighborhood so I suspected it was a spoof. Also our internet seems to be working fine. So I asked them to verify our account number and asked for a callback number. I think he said it was 800-MyCenturyLink (too many digits)?? I called a number on my bill and CenturyLink said they did not call and there was no problem with my internet.
