Got a letter through the mail and they had my name and address correct but my Apt number was wrong. They said this notice is time sensitive and for the Mortagee only. The return address said "COUNTY DEED RECORDS" with no return address. Under that it said "Lender info: CENTRAL PACIFIC HOMELOANS INC'. It said mailed from Zip Code 33431 in the upper right hand corner where the stamp is usually at in small numbers. They told me to call 1-800-260-6828 to verify my information before the response date expires! And that this is the FINAL NOTICE. Call during the hours of operation M-F 8 amto 9pm CST. Also you can speak to them in Spanish at 866-482-0923. They wanted my signature on the voucher but did not say where to mail it, to just call the toll free number. On the bottom of the voucher they said "This is NOT a Check". Not all consumers have previous covdrage And that they are not affiliated with my current mortgage holder. One note from me is that my house has been fully paid off for years already at this address and that I do have a mortgate on another property from CPB and not CP Homeloans inc As a matter of fact, never heard of CPH. They even gave me a record ID number by the Toll Free Number they want me to contact them at. Please let me know what is happeneing to be on the safe side and so other people don't get scammed. Also, they had a picture of my house attached to the front of the envelope that was glued on and it fell off when I opened the preferated edges of the letter. Thank you for your help.
