CMS Scam

I received a call from an unknown number since I did not answer, they left a voicemail. The VM was from Christina Davis, indicating they received a complaint and had some questions regarding a property (an old address of mine). Failure to contact the "firm" they have no choice but to proceed with the pending action.

A few minutes later, my sister called me to tell me that the same company just called her and left a voicemail, very similar to the one they left for me.

When I called the number they provided ( 1 888 732 045), they claimed to be from CMS (Central Mediation Services). They transferred me to some guy who claimed I had a loan for over $3000 and failure to pay it, they would move forward with serving me with documentation. It was scary to know that they had my personal information. As I kept asking for more information about the loan and the company, the guy became upset and started to argue with me and said to get off his phone - I simply hung up

This company called me from 605-231-4577 (which is a local phone number) and told me that they have been contracted to serve me and wanted to give me a "heads up" before having to stop at me work or home. I was told to call 877-805-0991 and gave me a case number also. I called the number and was told it was Central Mediation Services. They said I had a dept from August 2016 of $228 from a Payday Lender and they were going to take civil action.

The company stated that if I did not set up payment plans on an old cash advance that I would be served papers at my job or at my home and I had to make a decision that day. I spoke with BBB representative and there is an alert on this company for another stated. What this company doing is illegal.
