I have told him why don't you look me up with my phone number or name or the Ticket ID. I was hesitant to provide SS#..
He raised his voice and said I'm not asking the for the whole number. I HUNG UP and don't need their service.
Well, nowadays you can easily apply for a credit card in an application with your last 4 digits of your SS#, esp they already have your full name and date of birth. YOU CAN ALSO ACCES YOUR BANK BY PHONE WITH THE LAST 4 SS#.
NOTICE only in INDIA for small reasons they ask for SS# and this is the root base for SCAMMERS for the Social Security FRAUD comes from etc. BEWARE!!
