Robocall popped up as Centerpoint on the caller ID and announced that my electricity would be cut off in 45 mins to 1hr if I didn’t “press 1” to speak to a representative. I then hung up because I suspected it was a scam.

I received a call and it showed Centerpoint, so I answered. It was a recording saying my electricity will be disconnected in 45 minutes because they were not showing the payment that I made over a week ago. I told him that I had to go to the bank and he said he would call me back in 25 minutes…

Scammer stated that electricity will be cut in 30 minutes due to Center Point bill not pay.

Automated number called our work and said :your power is being turned off unless you call". Secretary called accountant (me). I was on the phone with three separate individuals asking for $1000 or they would turn off our power. Our bill is up to date. Told me to take cash to a Coinstar to deposit. Call when I get there and they will walk me through the deposit. My utility company has my balance at $0.00 and their customer service rep said are account is in good standing.
