I received a call on my cell phone with the caller ID as Centerpoint Eng. Their phone number is 713-659-2111. It was an automated system that claimed that service will be disconnected within the next hour. If you would like to avoid service disconnection, please press 1. After pressing 1, the call immediately connected to someone who asked for the service address and name. Then they claimed that they did not receive payment for the past 2 months. I replied that I have automatic payments, and their response was that they were having issues with their automatic payment system. I told them I see here payment processed for last month and they hung up on me. I believe they would've attempted to ask for payment information over the phone.

Got a call on 4/22/2022, 11:09A. Caller ID said Centerpoint Eng. Recorded voice said my bill was overdue and power would be disconnected in the next 30 to 45 minutes. Press 1 to pay bill. I am NOT a Centerpoint customer.
