Centene Corporation Reports & Reviews (2)

- Milledgeville, GA, USA • May 30, 2023

Scammer contacted me first by text message urging me to quickly schedule an interview for a Customer Service Remote position with Centene Corporation. Scammer gave me a link to a Microsoft TEAMS, and the name of a 'recruiter' that seemed legit (even having a detailed LinkedIn profile) and asking me to contact them immediately for an interview. Interview was a little too easy and the recruiter asked me to contact them again at 8am to find out the status of my application. They were 30 mins late to that appointment but said that I'd passed and would begin the immediate onboarding process. To that end they sent me a w-4 form and some additional onboarding information to my email. They then told me that before I could begin training I would need to give them my "cash app" info so they could send me a check to buy equipment. I stopped them there and mentioned that the very website they'd sent me to cautions against scams and says "Centene will never ask you to cash a check or purchase equipment," so I was going to need to verify this offer with Centene's internal recruitment team before proceeding further. They immediately vanished. Reported to Centene as well.

I was recently sent an email from someone named Brandon O&#; Nail offering employment through the Centene Corporation. If interested to send email address and phone number to [email protected] and set up a Google-Hangouts account. Then I was instructed to contact the HR manager Tiffany A Church. through Google Hangouts. They talked about a part-time data entry position with the Centene Corporation and promised a salary of $20.00 an hour for training and $35 an hour once it is completed. From there Tiffany A Church proceeded to tell me more about the job offer via email and how it strictly confidential and that I could not share information with anyone else. She told me to check-in with her regularly around 7am by responding to her texts with “Good morning Tiffany Church this is [insert your name here] just checking in for the day” She informed that the vendor needed $5,000 for installation of software programs and deposited $4118.00 into my checking account promising a reimbursement for it. Tiffany said we’d be using the check funds for reimbursement on office equipment that we would be using remotely until they opened up an office here in Reno, NV on April 27th, 2020. Everyday she contacted me asking for slightly higher payment than previous first it was $500 to $1000 as a minimum for software products. Then it was $1500 then $2500. Told me to use Target and Google Play gift cards when I could not get loan from the bank with $500.00 on each of them. Kept asking about what I was doing and did I have the cash on hand. Eventually, it was clear that something wasn’t adding up. Called the credit card fraud department and confirmed it was a scam using the Centene Corporation name as a cover up. Beware of the random employment offer email that comes without any in-depth interview by the company itself.
