I received an email for a data entry position, where they stated that my resume was found on Zip Recruiter. I was asked to complete an assessment via a Teams survey and was then told that they would send me a check to purchase the equipment that I would need, stating that their vendor does not accept their company credit card, and that I should select a payment method of Zelle, Cashapp, Venmo or PayPal to pay the vendor once I received my check.

I confirmed that the number provided for the business is not good, the company does not exist at the given location and that upon further investigation, the server tracks to a location that is not plausible. In the email, the person listed for HR, Stephanie Middleton, does not provide her contact info. After the assessment was completed, I was asked to contact James at (484)557-3028 to follow-up with any questions, which appears to be working number in Pennsylvania that goes straight to voice messaging.

The last email has requested that I reply back to accept the offer and list the payment method that I would use to pay their vendor. I of course did not respond.
