I have been looking for a new job and was approached by Annalise Roy with Cellestia Biotech via text message stating that she found my resume on Career Builder. She scheduled an interview via Skype yesterday 9/18/2023 and the interview was very strange since there was no spoken communication, only text messages back and forth. After 20 minutes I was offered a position and sent a employment contract. However she mentioned setting up my home office and they were sending a check to me over night instead of sending the software and lap top directly to me.

This morning she needed me to be on Skype at 8 am sharp to discuss a few things. The few things quickly and most importantly became tracking the check. She asked me to deposit the check in my bank account asap to purchase the software and other equipment necessary to run the operation.

This raised red flags and I tried calling the number however no answer only text messages. I asked about a similar online scam I saw and she got very defensive.
