I found this phone number, 1-855-213-3435.
I called about 11:50, a Guy responded, identified himself as James, with an Asian Indian accent. I told him about my Iphone settings problem. He said, he is an Iphone expert that he would help me resolve my problem.
He instructed me to go to Raley's , buy 2x itunes card at $50.00 each, after, he instructed me to go inside my car and read him the passcodes, so I did.
After, he said I need to go to Walmart, buy another 2x $50.00 each itunes cards as the previous cards were not enough to troubleshoot my iphone, after, he instructed me again to go inside my car and read him the passcodes, so I did.
After he said, there is a problem, there are so many hackers in my phone and the itunes cards were not enough to do troubleshooting. I hanged up my phone. James called me back, the phone number that registered in my phone is a different number; 1-855-881-6562, he handed this phone to another Guy,he said his partner, named Ricky, who also had an Asian Indian accent, he said they need more cards to help me with my iphone settings, then another (third Guy) I didn't get his name also with an Asian Indian accent, spoke, instructed me to go to Safeway, buy 4x $100.00 worth of itunes cards. I told him I do not have enough money , he said, " Don't worry Iphone will reimburse all your expenses", he sounded very convincing so I purchased the cards, after, James was back on the phone, instructed me to go inside my car and read him the passcodes, so I did.
After, James partners were off the phone, James took over the conversation, told me there are 22 hackers stealing my information that I need to buy more cards at the Staples store. He instructed me to buy 10 itunes cards x $100.00 each, should not worry about the money as Iphone will reimburse all my expenses to be able to troubleshoot my phone problem. I was on my speaker phone while talking to James.
During my conversation with James, an Easy Tech Associate, named Stephen, at the Staples store was listening to my conversation with him. He interrupted my phone conversation, he said, " Hang up, he is a scammer. Iphone should not make you buy any itunes cards. They will fix your problem for free."
Stephen spoke with James, asked him his ID/Badge Iphone number but James said, I should not talk to this people and get out in that store and find another store to buy more itunes cards.
As a retired senior citizen, I was vulnerable. I did not realize that I should not pay anything to have my Iphone settings be fixed by Iphone staff.
On February 14, 2018, about 10:06 AM thru 10:15 AM, James called me again three times using same phone number, 1-845-213-3435. I answered the phone once, I asked him to give me back my $700.00. He said I should not be talking to anybody about this so he could troubleshoot my iphone settings. I told him, he is a scammer.
