During my first week at a new job, they called me at work and asked if I wanted to review some material. Here is my mistake, I said yes. No one mentioned the "material" would include an invoice 2 months later for $250. In my role I am bombarded with junk mail. I don't read it all. I don't open most of it. If I had, I probably would have seen the invoice for this book I was asked to review (again, never was told during the call that it would cost me $250). Now they won't take the book back, they claim that it is outdated, even though this is the latest version of the book. I asked the customer service if they have published a new book yet and was told they have not. I am not sure how the book I have is outdated if a newer version hasn't been published. Now I have been turned over to collections for a book I didn't want and was never told it would cost $250.
