I received an email from Gina Ferrara about a Staffing Coordinator job; work from home. I have attached one of the many emails. She had me fill out a questionnaire, as well as bank information and other information as I figured that would be for auto-deposit. She said I had 10 days to study, and then take a test. She said I would get paid training, for 3 weeks, $700 a week on Fridays. Then after that, I would be paid $1200. However, they said they were going to transfer over $4000.00 to me, and I would have to use that money to purchase a high-tech laptop with fingerprint technology, as well as a cell phone and virus software and other software. Well, weeks passed, no money came, no test came. I wasted a lot of time studying the documents that was sent to me. To make a long story short, I told her I think she was a scam, and if so that it was cruel because I needed the money. She tried convincing me this was not a scam, that her father William Ferrera owned the company, etc. and she told me to check out the website, email, etc. I called the number on the CDMT website. The guy there answered not professionally, but just "yeah." I thought that was weird. Then I asked for Gina, and he told me she doesn't exist there and to be careful. I emailed this to Gina, asked her for her phone number, verify address, and also asked why the deposit of money was taking so long. She said it works better with Credit Unions, and told me to open an account with a credit union. I did not do that. Now, just this week, my bank called and said they received a check from an unknown company, made out to the bank, with "RE" my name. They are still holding the check. It is for $4900.00. I tried emailing Gina several times, she has not emailed me for about 2 weeks. I accused her of scamming. No word from her. I also found someone tried reporting it on Indeed.com. I'm very bummed.
