CDFA Spoof Reports & Reviews (1)

- Washington, DC, USA

On 5.31.18, my aunt's Facebook account was hacked, but I didn't know it. The message was there is a program called CDFA that you pay money into. She said she gave them $1500 and they gave her $3000. They did not keep their end of the bargain. I paid them $300 in the form of Itunes Cards which I bought from CVS. They told me to go to CVS. They texted me instructions which were to scrape off the security numbers, and take pictures of the back of the cards, and send the pictures back to them. They kept texting me telling me to go to the IRS. I asked why, they didn't respond. "My aunt" said they would work with me if I sent them the money. I thought it was my aunt. I believed them.
