We signed a contract with CCL Improvements on 01/03/2016 for refinishing our basement to completion for a total payment of $29,150.00. CCL Improvements misrepresented themselves as a licensed contractor (he obtained his contractor license after it was requested by homeowners; done on 2/16/2016 after work had already been started). He also threatened to walk out on job after opening cement floor during rough plumbing. Work was incomplete and they walked out on the job as of 4/21/2016. With multiple attempts to call & text, CCL Improvements has not been in contact with homeowners since 4/21/2016. Total payout to CCL Improvements was $27,041.54 and the job was only completed to rough framing & rough plumbing.

We later found out that one of the contractors involved has spent time in prison for this scam and they are currently under police investigation in our area with multiple complaints filed with authorities.
