I discovered cavapoopuppiesranch.com a few days ago while searching for Cavapoo breeders (King Charles Cavalier Spaniel & Poodle mix dog). I filled out a form inquiring about one of the pets listed on the website. I received a text message about an hour later and an email reply. I've attached screenshots of both the emails and the text messages. Some major red flags were that they claimed to sell the dog for $900 with "shipping and home delivery," which seems like a very low cost to send a person + a dog across the country to deliver to my home. Another red flag is that I asked if I could call them to speak over the phone, they said yes but have ignored each phone call I have tried to make. This morning I requested information from the American Kennel Club and the microchip registration and they ignored that request and said "if you're cool with this we can move forward." This is immediately a red flag because who would agree to purchase a dog over a text message from someone who has been clearly withholding information/ avoiding a phone call. I've searched google for this persons name, allegedly "Dave Morris," and their phone number, and the phone number turns up a page on theeroticreview.com, (link here: https://www.theeroticreview.com/reviews/angela-7039967266-312584). The same phone number that I was reached via text is the phone number listed on this webpage as belonging to an escort named "Angela," with TER ID: 312584. Apparently "Angela" is located in Washington DC (not too far from Hampton VA) and is affiliated with an agency. So I am questioning if this is a legitimate dog selling operation or some kind of covert escort operation.
