I was shopping for a puppy and came across this cavapoo site on Facebook. I contacted the owner Kimberly Raines and she stated that she had a girl cavapoo puppy for sale. She asked us questions which I gladly answered through text messages. She agreed to my answers and explained that we were eligible for the puppy. She told me there is an upfront 50% fee for health certificate and transfer of ownership and for security reasons She sent me a signed contract from her to me and I signed it and paid upfront a 50% deposit through Venmo and a credit card the money. We made plans to meet halfway for us and her in Tampa FL. After she was paid there was very little communication. She had sent me a video of the puppy and we decided on time and place to meet in Tampa. Saturday 1-15-22 I drive to Tampa our meeting time was 3pm. I repeatedly was texting her and no response. I knew I had been scammed! I contacted the CC place disputed the charge and contacted Venmo as well. Filed a federal report for online scammer per police suggestion and I am doing everything in my power to make sure this person who is doing this gets what they deserve.
