I was looking for a vacation rental on Maui and found one I wanted to book through a Craigslist ad. Initially the info seemed legitimate. I was sent pictures and a link to AirBnB - not the listing but a picture of the woman and her reviews. I was then sent a form to fill out asking for my name, ID etc... Following that I received a request for a deposit to a mobile bank routing # in Pa. She sent an email stating that it was URGENT to send the $ as many people were interested in booking the unit and she had to know within 24 hours. I wrote back asking for the unit # and a direct phone # and said I was not comfortable sending 766.00 to an unknown mobile bank and wanted to know if she lived in Kihei. She "assured" me that there was no problem, that she was not the owner and that the initial deposit would go to him. When I again asked her for her info, there was no further reply. THIS IS A SCAM...Beware of being asked for Bank Transfer, Wire Transfer, Money Order, Check, Google wallet.
