Interview through message chat with Deepak P where I was asked to verify contact info and proceed with interview questions

I was offered the position and told I would receive a check in the mail and was instructed that I should buy office supplies (furniture/laptop, etc).
I refused to do this and asked to speak with someone over the phone.
They refused and asked for more specific questions on my address and personal contact info.
I left the chat immediately.
